Naomi, salon owner and master stylist, is a seasoned industry veteran who began her journey as an apprentice to a female barber 28 years ago in San Antonio, Texas. During her barbering apprenticeship she also gained knowledge and experience in working with all hair types and providing a wide variety of services.
Naomi has also had the great privilege to work for a global franchise that
afforded her the opportunity to understand and experience the corporate aspect
of the industry. Her strength in leadership and her experience and knowledge of the industry enabled her to grow and cultivate productive teams, develop lasting relationships with clients, and
continually sharpen her technical skills and talents.

Her passion for the industry challenged her to build a dynamic and unique men’s
salon focused on meeting all the needs of her client base. The concept of NYC State of Mind was based on combining “old school” and “current trend” male services along with great attention to details, excellence and diversity. Naomi is also committed to educating future professionals and facilitating the growth of this concept in the San Antonio, Texas and surrounding cities. I’ve been in the industry for 31  years. I have managed national franchise chains like SportClips and Supercuts throughout my career. I am experienced in all hair types and never limit myself to a specific hair type. I enjoy a diverse clientele and welcome all new clients.
